Hi, I’m Matt Corey.
I’m a BPS Licensed Psychologist with an MSc and BA in Psychology and Counselling, as well as training in Functional Medicine, Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), Functional Diagnostic Nutrition, HeartMath and the Autoimmune Paleo Protocol (AIP).
My work grew from a deeply personal journey.
For more than 15 years, I experienced significant emotional and physical challenges that eventually led me to question something I had previously overlooked: the relationship between the mind, emotions, behaviours and the body.
I had spent years trying to solve problems by working harder, pushing further and doing more. Eventually, I realised that meaningful change required me to look beneath the surface—to understand the beliefs, emotional patterns, experiences and behaviours that were influencing the way I lived and responded to life.
That realisation changed the direction of my life.
Today, I combine my psychological background with an integrative understanding of wellbeing to help people living with chronic and autoimmune conditions explore the emotional, psychological and behavioural dimensions of their experience.
This work does not replace appropriate medical care. Instead, it recognises that our wellbeing is influenced by many interacting factors—including psychological and emotional health, behaviour, nutrition, lifestyle, environment and individual biology.
My purpose is to help you understand your own patterns more deeply, develop greater self-awareness and emotional regulation and discover new possibilities for moving forward with greater freedom, resilience and wellbeing.
This is the work I wish I had understood much earlier in my own journey.
